Professional footballers have a gained a reputation for having crazy cars, after all, what else are you going to spend all that cash on?
Ferrari 599 (£160,000)
Footballers love Ferraris and in 2009 Cristiano Ronaldo narrowly avoided death when he drove his Ferrari 599 into a tunnel. The car was wrecked, a total write-off, yet luckily for Ronaldo (and his then team Manchester United) he walked away without a scratch!
Mercedes Brabus G63 AMG 6×6 (£620,000)
AC Milan’s Sulley Muntari splashed out on this insane Mercedes. Probably more suitable for navigating the dangers of a war zone than going to football practise, this beast of a vehicle is over the top even by footballer standards!
Or is it…take a look at this…
Camouflage Bentley Continental GT (£170,000)
Here is Mario Balotelli’s camouflage Bentley. He recently gave the car to teammate, Urby Emanuel, who returned the car to its original colour, much to Balotelli’s disappointment.
A Chrome McLaren Mercedes SLR (£240,000)
William Gallas, formerly of Chelsea and Arsenal is the proud owner of this high-speed mirror.
Talking of shiny things, take a look at the next car on the list!
Gold Cadillac Escalade
This ridiculous vehicle belongs to the oft divisive El Hadji Diouf. It’s likely that this ostentatious vehicle will be just as divisive as his general behaviour!
A few more reasonable cars (and the term reasonable is applied lightly here) include Wayne Rooney’s Aston Martin Vanquish, Neymar’s Ferrari 458 Spider, Emmanuel Adebayor’s Aston Martin DBS v12 and Karim Benzema’s Bugatti Veyron. Not to mention Ronaldo’s latest acquisition, the LaFerrari, a car that cost nearly £1 million.
And then of course there is Stephen Ireland’s Range Rover from his City days, which he decked out with pink rims and a pink grate…perhaps the car explains why Man City give him the boot!
